During the event, writers were invited to try writing in parts of the college that were not typically used for writing either as subjects or spaces of the act.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The last time I sat here,<br \/>\nwe were blowing bubbles,<br \/>\ndestressing session it was called.<br \/>\nAttempts to conjure jolly phospholipids<br \/>\nmet with buoyant incredulity,<br \/>\nprobably nuisance to eardrums around.<br \/>\nPenchant for these perpendicular grey blocks,<br \/>\nan infection stealthily transmitted to friends,<br \/>\nunfazed by baffled faces crossed.<br \/>\nI&#8217;d race you up,<br \/>\nI&#8217;d say before my escape,<br \/>\nmy human appendages against your trust in engineered metal.<br \/>\nClimbing down I did not fancy,<br \/>\nbad for my knees I insist,<br \/>\none friend would agree.<br \/>\nYet the descent was obligatory,<br \/>\nfor the genius&#8217;s equipment below<br \/>\ndemanded a gravity-bound me.<br \/>\nUpon leaked news of mass evacuation,<br \/>\nlift-wards I leapt before shrieking bells,<br \/>\nrecord number of smirks in our silver box.<br \/>\nBut adrenaline deficiency plagued a trio,<br \/>\nso 21 floors we rocketed,<br \/>\ndeserving of commemorative shots.<\/p>\n<p>Stair 6,<br \/>\n1 Thru 21,<br \/>\nStorey 20.<br \/>\nCould have been just concrete,<br \/>\ncould have been just transit,<br \/>\nbut for me it was not.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013<\/p>\n<p><em>About the Author<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Jia Ying is a Life Sciences major who&#8217;s unabashedly enthusiastic about watching birds, but also watches other living creatures, including\u00a0<i>Homo sapiens<\/i>.
